Events to Brighten up the Holiday Season
There is never a dull moment in South Florida and the holiday season is no exception. Gather up your friends and family and head out to take part in these exciting holiday events.
Downtown West Palm Beach Food Tours – December 22 - 31
If you want to learn more about West Palm Beach and to enjoy a great selection of food and drinks from the best restaurants in the area, the Downtown West Palm Beach Food Tours are an excellent choice. The event features 13 tastings of food and drinks along with history, culture and amazing architecture to make up a one-mile walk of three hours. Tickets for the Downtown West Palm Beach Food Tours are priced at $65 for adults and at $45 for children of ages 12 and under. The tours take place from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm from Tuesday through Saturday. Private group tours can also be arranged.
Menorah Lighting – December 24
Taking place at Old School Square, Swinton Avenue in Delray Beach, the menorah will be on display next to the 100-foot Christmas tree. The lighting commences at 6:00 pm.
Nightly 'Snowfalls' at CityPlace – Now through December 31
This is an excellent choice for the whole family. You can visit and catch the snow at 6.00pm and at 7.00pm on Mondays through Wednesday and at 6.00pm, 7:00 pm and at 8:00 pm from Thursdays through Sundays.
Hoffman's Winter Wonderland- Now through December 30
Held at Hoffman’s Chocolate Factory, Shoppe, Ice Cream Parlour and Gardens at Lake Worth Road, the festivities will feature 75,000 LED lights, a giant Christmas tree, holiday displays, photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Clause and live entertainment.
Holiday in Paradise – Now through January 1
Taking center stage at Holiday in Paradise this year is the World’s only 600-ton sand tree or Sandi at the West Palm Beach waterfront. The tree is 35 meters in height and the festivities will feature light shows and music every night. Be sure to check out Glow FORE, the 9-hole mini golf course and SnowieVille where kids can have so much fun building a tropical snowman.
Breakfast with Santa at the Palm Beach Zoo! – December 24
Head over to the Palm Beach Zoo to enjoy fun encounters with animals, a hot breakfast buffet and a chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus to take pictures. There will also be crafts, face painting, and complimentary Wildlife Carousel rides. Be sure to make your reservations in advance.
Miami City Ballet’s Nutcracker – December 28 – 30
Catch this remarkable production at the Alexander W. Dreyfoos, Jr. Concert Hall at the Kravis Center from December 28 – December 30. The stunning production of George Balanchine features gorgeous costumes, extraordinary scenery and the magical compositions of Tchaikovsky. Tickets are available for purchase at $25 on the Kravis Center website.
Clematis By Night – December 27
Head over to the downtown West Palm Beach waterfront for the award-winning weekly concerts of Clematis by Night. The event features not only the best tunes in rock, reggae, R&B, blues, Latin music and swing but an amazing array of delectable sweets in an exciting atmosphere. The event takes place from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
